First public meeting of the S.I.S. outside London since the Glasgow Conference. Held at Trent Polytechnic (Nottingham), under the title “Global Catastrophes: New Evidence from Astronomy, Biology and Archaeology”, the aim was to present broad reviews of the recent and accumulating evidence for global catastrophism by specialists in those three disciplines. Speakers:
