At https://phys.org/news/2023-02-radiocarbon-method-interaction-homo-sapiens.html … the story is about yet another switch in C14 methodology – and no doubt a suite of new dates. Or am I being premature? The claims goes further in that it promises to reveal new insights about key events in early human history – not least the transition between Neanderthals and modern humans. However, they still rely on Bayesian chronology methodology, if that is the correct phraseology, so how radical might this new version of radiocarbon be?
