A fragmenting comet, to be precise, resulting in a climate shift = the Younger Dryas. The new evidence comes from eastern USA – New Jersey, Maryland, South Carolina. Microspherules, melt glass, shocked quartz, platinum, etc. Pressure at extreme temperatures, it is suggested, imply airburst events rather than impacts on the surface.

It is estimated it was 1000 times more powerful than the Nagasaki atom bom. It flattened 800 square miles of taiga forest – an area larger than London. However, once again, there was no crater – or evidence of an impact. We are told. The reason why came from a Russian farmer, an eyewitness to the event – one Semyon Semyonar. The sky split apart, he said, and there was a fire over the whole northern firmament. He felt intense heat as if his shirt had caught fire. The blast than threw him down – followed by a loud knocking. Stones falling from the sky. In other words, whatever it was exploded in the air. An airburst event is perhaps the most common interpretation. Now we have an alternative explanation, a black hole racing through the solar system.
