Just as our Sun and the solar system are surrounded by a magnetic sheaf wrapped around it, orders of magnitude larger than the Earth’s magnetosphere, it would seem the Milky Way galaxy may have a similar structure – see https://www.sciencealert.com/giant-magnetic-halo-discovered-wrapped-around-the-milky-way … the halo, or bubble, stretches 45,000 light years either side of the galactic centre – and involves huge flows of gas and plasma.
William sent in the two links – at https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/a-long-lost-moon-could-explain-mars-weird-shape-and-extreme-terrain/ar-AA1qC3VN … a long lost moon could explain Mars weird shape and extreme terrain. Mars hosts deep canyons, tall mountains, and an extensive highland zone. This is known as ther Thoris Bulge as it dominates the western hemisphere of the planet, near its equator. It is 4.4 miles high, 7 km, with massive volcanoes sitting on the top.
