Rapid evolution?

This is shown by Magnus Karlsson of Linnaes University. It is generally accepted that measurable evolutionary changes occur slowly, often taking 100s of generations. However, although research, on grashoppers, shows they can change colour fairly quickly in response to habitat change, their ability to meld into a changing background, it does not concern actual evolutionary change – such as genuine physical changes (such as the appearance of eyes, or feelers, or whatever). Adaptation is not really evolution – or is it?
