The end of the world delusion

19 July 2012
Climate change

This is the title of a new book by Justin Deering, The End of the World Delusion: How Doomsayers Endanger Society (available in hardback, paperback and as an e-book). It is about doomsaying at large and not specifically climate change, althought the author is on record of comparing global warming with '…year 2K all over again' and adds, 'it doesn't matter to me whether they-re a preacher or a scientist, a shaman mystic or an expert researcher, if they are saying the end is near they're wrong'

At www.faithfreedom.org/Articles/MarkTwain40627.html …. there is an article on Mike Baillie's book Exodus to Arthur and its conclusions – adding David Key's Catastrophe: An investigation into the origin of the Modern World, and compares the volcanic explanation with Baillie's cometry one. Is this doomsaying? Or is it a catalogue of past doomish events with no predictions on the future? The above writer is interested in the root of Islam and a 'very dark year' = AD536/541 (see http://cosmictusk.com where Baillie's book Exodus to Arthur is touted as essential reading. There is also a post on Shive – in this respect, a crater near India given the name of Shiva but contemporary with Chcxulub (the K/T boundary event). If the first link does not work, as it seems it might not, go to Cosmic Tusk and use the link there.
