Basically, he sees global warming hype as counter productive and politicised. He also makes the point environmentalism is an ism – like socialism and capitalism etc., a belief rather than a science. An environmentalist is therefore distinct from an ecologist as ecology is a science. His opinion is that such idealogies are negative as they divide people into opposing camps and make a lot of noise in the ensuing arguments.
