Another book, the third in a row. This one is by Rens van der Sliujs, Traditional Cosmology: the Global Mythology of Cosmic Creation and Destruction – see www.mythopedia.info

Thunderbolts has a preview of some of the contents – enough to wet the lips – go to www,thunderbolts.info/wp/2013/05/19/clear-as-day/ … in which Rens outlines a few of the problems in trying to make sense out of the various global creation myths. In this instance he sets his eyes on a couple of instances where the Sun was said to have disappeared – for a long period, and others where the Sun appears to disappear for a time and come back briefly before disappearing once again. Apparently, switching itself on and off. What is being recorded in such myths, he asks. Is it the Sun that is being talked about, or another radiant atmospheric effect or even another celestial object? The idea of the Sun having the ability to stop shining for any given time is a strange idea – but not so if plasmoids were involved. Thought provoking.
