So says Judith Curry at https://judithcurry.com/2016/12/03/truthiness-and-factiness-in-politiciz… … climate scientist Judith Curry ploughs a furrow through the middle of the game. After outlining what she means by truthiness (something short of the truth) and factiness (short on real facts but strong on nearly facts) she describes what she thinks are real facts in climate science (and everything else is fluff so to speak). These are i) average global temperatures have increased over the last 100 years, ii) carbon dioxide has an infrared emission spectra, and iii) human have been adding carbon dioxide to the atmosphere.
She then quotes the 'Rational Wiki' – the term anti-science refers to persons or organisations that promote their ideology over scientifically verified evidence, variously by either denying the evidence, and/or creating their own evidence. The most glaring example of anti-science and its strategies is the linking of extreme weather events to human caused climate change. Roger Pielke Junior was a victim of this – as revealed in one of the Podesta leaked emails druing the presidential election, this year (2016). The comments are always worth browsing through at this web site as Judith Curry allows pro and anti CAGW voiced to contribute to what is a debate rather than a slap on the back one sided comment section.
