At https://phys.org/print424674665/html … ESAs Venus Express has been looking at wind and cloud patterns on the night side of Venus. Apparently it behave differently to the day side – the side of the planet that faces the Sun. The atmosphere of Venus is dominated by strong wind systems that whirl around the planet much faster than Venus rotates. Venusian winds rotate 60 times faster than the planet below, pushing and dragging along clouds. During day side the rotations is uniform and consistent but on the night side it is irregular.
