At https://phys.org/news/2022-03-gaia-mission-milky-older-dated.html … the ESA Gaia Mission has shown the Milky Way began to form 13 billion years ago. Much earlier than anticipated. This is less than a billion years after Big Bang.

At https://phys.org/news/2022-03-astronomers-reveal-image-mysterious-odd.html … the MeerKAT radio telescope has revealed some mysterious and off radion circles in space, expanding data from the ASKAP radio telescope in 2022. Theories on what might cause them range from galactic shock waves to wormholes, in space. These do not of course have anything to do with worm like monsters lurking in space – but you never know. The oddities have now got a monicker – an official designation. They are ORCs. Odd Radio Signals and nothing to do with Lord of the Rings. It would seem that the more powerful the telescope there are ever more space mysteries revealed. A new radio telescope is coming online shortly and will focus on the Orcs.

At https://phys.org/news/2022-03-behaviour-black-widow-millisecond-pulsar.html … we have the Black Widow spider and now we have the Black Widow pulsar. It rotates in milliseconds, or so it would seem. What exactly going on with pulsars is itself a mystery although mainstream have an overriding theory. This particular pulsar is regarded as rotating in a superfast manner – so what exactly is going round and round. The research is published on the pre-print server arXix -see https://arxiv.org/abs/2203.05872
