Mounds in North America

At http://archaeology.about.com … at Watson Brake in NE Louisiana there are eleven earth mounds with interconnecting earth ridges in the Quachita River valley – dating back to 3500BC. There are other mounds in the Mississippi Valley dating between 4000-3000BC, contemporary with long barrows and mounds in NW Europe.
