Joan Feynman is the sister of the better known Richard Feynman and she works at NASA JPL, the space research centre – see http://chiefio.wordpress.com/2012/05/26/hope-for-nasa-climatology-joan-f…. EM Smith picked this up from comments at the Anthony Watts blog (he provides the link) one of which recommended http://www.nasa.gov/centers/jpl/news/nilef-20070319.html and her paper at http://trs-new.jpl.nasa.gov/dspace/bitstream/2014/39770/1/06-1256.pdf which is all about how the Sun varies and what effect it might have on climate, a quite different kind of idea to that going on at NASA GISS which is dominated by the co2 meme at the expense of the Sun.
