Tut

This story has been long running. At first we had a denial by the Egyptian Antiquities people and Reeves came in for some flak and certainly a fair measure of criticism. However, as things will the Egyptians realised they might be able to take advantage of the situation and reinvigorate their tourist industry, and some preliminary scans were taken of the Tutankhmun tomb just to see if they might be something behind the far wall – a cavity. The scan was inconclusive. A natural civty may exist rather than a former tomb so we have more extensive radar scanning going on – results to be aired in the near future. See http://archaeologynewsnetwork.blogspot.co.uk/2016/04/experts-examine-new…

Reeves theory is that Tutankhamun died young, and suddenly, and he might have hastily been buried in somebody else's tomb – with a wall erected to shut off the older burial and sarcophagus. It is an interesting theory and is about to be verified – or proven untrue. Will it mean that Western tourists flock back to Egypt?
