Climate change

At http://notrickszone.com/2016/09/13/massive-cover-up-exposed-285-papers-f… … which all boils down to the activities of one of Wiki's self appointed mainstream patrollers of the internet, a certain self righteous chap who has been filling his pockets big time. It's a laudatory story and should, if common sense was common, bring down the CAGW mantra – but it won't. The pillock will ride again – and again (providing the faithful with the news they want to hear, rather than reality). This is one of those posts that makes you wonder if the invention of the internet for the masses is all that it is cracked up to be. This guy went around the Wiki posts legitimately put on site by authorised writers and deleted those that didn't accord with his narrow point of view. He did it for years without any censorship from the Wiki owners and the idea was to delete from the record any mention  that temperatures were not rising as that would bring the gravy train to a stop. He managed to convince the internet people but of course a lot of people were alive that had lived through the period 1960s – 1980s and in general they read books rather than rely on the internet. It was people that had not been born in the 1960s that fell for the line that warming was going up in an ever rising graph – towards catastrophe. Again, warmist propaganda is pushed on social media – and not many people check it out. Its accepted. Its part of peer pressure – call it what you will (a sort of mass hysteria created by modern communications technology). If there had been no internet would the global warming doomsayers have been able to ride rough shod over what anyone can read in books written in the 1960s-1980s (or was produced in articles in journals).

CAGW has a distinct apocalyptic angle – one created by the Internet (and the thought police). It is also heavily politicised – with a clear agenda to overturn the old order. This is normal intergenerational politics – but the internet adds a different dimension (as you can see by all those people on social media). Most people think the best of other people – and are ripe for propagandising. A similar theme is taken up at http://wattsupwiththat.com/2016/09/14/environmentalism-as-a-religion/ … and once again we can see the intergenerational thing on display – daddy's generation having a pop at his son's generation. The author calls CAGW 'the church of global warming' as its adherents only want to be fed with CAGW propaganda and experience serious withdrawal symptoms if they hear just the faintest of sceptical views. They want the climate to descend into catastrophe – they actually believe this is going to happen (even though average warming over the last 100 years or so is so small it is meaningless). It is likely they will end up getting their wish – the catastrophe bit (caused by them and the people raking in the tax subsidies).
