At http://notrickszone.com/2019/01/24/atmospheric-physicists-a-human-signat… … Greek atmospheric physicists have cast doubt on climate change hysteria in a step by step dissection of the anthropogenic global warming hypothesis. There is a difference in what is hypothesized to occur atmospherically according to the AGW models and what has actually been observed from satellite measurements.
At https://wattsupwiththat.com/2019/01/24/first-detection-of-climate-change… … concerns the apparent detection of climate change on Venus – caught by satellite data. The driver of the change appears to be the Sun – which is less active at the moment. The strangest feature of the atmosphere of Venus is its winds. These whip around the planet 60 times faster than the surface rotates. In contrast, the surface of Venus rotates slowly – and one side of the planet always faces the Sun (somewhat like our Moon in orbit around the Earth). Also, Venus is closer to the Sun than the Earth and is in tidal lock. The Japanese Akatsuki spacecraft has been orbiting since December of 2015 and Dr Javier Peralta used 466 images of Venusian clouds (taken at different times). On the dayside of Venus the atmosphere is illuminated by incoming sunlight (all the time). On the night side of Venus (permanently dark) heat emanates from the surface and is partly blocked by clouds deep in its atmosphere. Peralta mapped these clouds (varying transparency available via infra red glow) and the result was 2947 wind measurements which revealed a pattern. The Sun caused the clouds to accelerate at lower altitudes and the correlation was predominantly zonal (moving in a westwards direction). There was no meriodonal wind acceleration (north or southwards), hence, the Venus atmosphere appears to be driven by the Sun as a surface up mechanism would have produced winds in both directions (west and eastwards).
Animations, images and measurements are included in the article in Astrophysics Journal Supplement Series in December (2018) which can be downloaded and explored by anybody. Peralta also thought the speed of Venus winds has shifted over the last 30 years – which is consistent with the idea of a solar driver. In other words, climate change – a slowing influence of the Sun.
At https://wattsupwiththat.com/2019/01/24/a-history-of-dr ben-santer-and-his-ipcc-trick/ … Ben Santer is head of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in the US but was once involved in the East Anglia climate science facility. We've all heard of the hockey stick trick but here we purportedly have another trick, by Ben Santer – back in the day. His trick involved a re-wording of the 1995 IPCC Report. Santer single handedly watered down the science produced for the IPCC report, we are told, and with it swung the global warming political process into overdrive. The discernible human influence he claimed had been found has been repeated thousands of times in the media and by other scientists (not necessarily knowing anything about climate). This was taken apart by John Daly in 1996 and by Avery and Singer in 2006 but the AGW gravy train has carried on like an unstoppable behomath.
At www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-6625661/ … by Stephen Glover. He begins by saying almost everyone I know is against fracking. Not many of them understand much about it. This doesn't prevent them from pursing their lips and shaking their heads and generally take a disapproving attitude whenever the subject is aired. What about the US where fracking on a massive scale has made the country less dependent on foreign oil and gas imports. Britain is a small country they say – and fracking causes earthquakes (they've been told by the media). As a result of this mind set fracking has failed to get into gear in this country – and politicians seem to be frightened stiff of an earthquake. And so on …
