A Brief History of Physics (or some of it)

He claims it is on the brink of a paradigm shift – with a little bit of the history of physics thrown in. The theory of electricity developed by James Clerk Maxwell divided physicists, we are told. On one side were adherents of an electromagnetic ether theory, and on the other side, the atomists, who favoured gravitational forces. Planck and Einstein won out, it would seem.
