At https://phys.org/news/2023-05-x-ray-telescope-dark-energy-uniformly.html … Edwin Hubble, in the 1920s, discovered the universe is expanding. In 1998, observations of supernovae seemed to show the universe had begun to expand more rapidly, assumed to be an accumulating acclerating process. To explain why, scientists came up with the idea of dark energy. Now, dark energy has itself become a subject of study – using the eROSITA X-ray Telescope. See further at https://doi.org/10.1093/mnras/stad957 … and the results seem to infer dark energy makes up 76 per cent of total energy activity in the universe. It also seems to be uniform in space and context over time.
