Tall Bloke has an interesting post at https://tallbloke.wordpress.com/2023/05/14/solar-flares-and-the-origin-of-life/ … which derives from research at https://mdpi.com/2075-1729/13/5/1103 … [April, 2023]. See also https://spaceweather.com/2023/05/13/solar-flares-and-the-origin-of-life/ … which tells us that back in 1952, some 70 years ago, the Miller-Urey experiment showed that lightning in the atmosphere of early earth could produce the chemical building blocks of life. The new research shows that solar flares could do the same thing – much more easily. In fact, we are told the production rate of amino acids by lightning is a million times less than by solar protons. Early research on the origins of life actually ignored the Sun. There is of course a more recent field of research that basically ignores the Sun and that is climate science – but will it take 70 years to learn about this.
