At https://www.livescience.com/planet-earth/geology/enormous-hydrothermal-vent-field-with-ancient-50-foot-tall-chimneys-discovered-near-underwater-volcano … interesting discovery. The bottom of the sea is upsetting cosy mainstream ideas. A two thousand feet long hydrothermal field teeming with life as well as giant chimneys spouting boiling water from inside the earth have been discovered near a submarine volcano off the coast of Ecuador. They tower as high as a four storey building we are told – sitting on the sea bed. The spewing hot plumes are not too far from the Galapagos Islands. Some of the chimneys appear to be 33 to 50 feet tall. It has been christened, the Rose Garden, and it sits on a rift – which includes the Galapagos. Some interesting geology that requires some clarification.
