Spiral Core of Comet 12P

As Comet 12P/Pons-Brooks is due for its April rendevous around the Sun – see https://spaceweather.com … which has two posts, slightly different, on the 12th and 13th of March 2024. Go to the archive and mouse click  to the date. The first date outlines the idea there is a spiral core – which basically means the comet is rotating. It also has a growing tail. The second link also has the same piece on the spiralling core of the comet – but it has some different images. THer forst link are images sent in from a guy in Norway and the second link has several image sents in from other locations. The basic idea the comet is cryovolcanic is emphasised in both pages – and several earlier ones. Its surface is peppered with geysers which  spray icy plumes into space, as well as dust and gases.
